I am making myself some useful buttons, because until asking a person’s pronoun becomes as socially acceptable as asking a person’s name I’ve got to be the one to take initiative and be proactive about this.

For the record: You can always ask me about my preferred pronoun- I would much rather be asked than have someone assume.  It does not make me uncomfortable, and there is no bad time for it to be brought up.  Also, in case you are shy: my pronoun is “eh” but I answer to all forms of gender-neutral pronouns (and “he” if neutral pronouns don’t work for you for whatever reason).
